What else happened between creation of angels and Adam?

In my 1st post I concluded that God created the angel family prior to the physical universe. What does science teach that must have happened long before Adam and Eve? There is a vast amount of fauna and flora captured in the fossil record, too numerous to mention. The big problem for us creationists is when did the dinosaurs live and how did they go extinct? If we can believe modern dating methods, and I believe we should, they were fossilized much, much more than 6000 years ago.

I have heard much speculation on the subject, but I will describe my favorite theory. God may have created a vast ecosystem millions of years ago, including verdant forests, dinosaurs and various humanoids. The reasoning here is that God may have been experimenting with various life forms in preparation for His planned Adamic creation. Also the earth may have been a training ground for Lucifer and the angels under him, who may have been given responsibility and rulership here. As it turned out, Lucifer became unsatisfied with only having authority over the earth and yearned to take over the whole universe, because of his superior talents and abilities; so he thought. Isaiah 14:13-14 says, “For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exhalt my throne above the stars ( angels ) of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation ( in control of all the angels ), in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” ( or be the most high ).

What happened next? Isaiah 14:15 goes on, “Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” Ezekiel 28:18 says, “You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your traffic; therefore I will bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it will devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold you.” Jesus said in Luke 10:18, “… I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” The results of this very first war in history, or prehistory, may have been the complete disruption of the surface of the earth, including the sudden burial of the life forms that now appear as fossils; and the earth became covered by water. We know that God hates rebellion and things must have gotten pretty bad for Him to erase all life and start over. Did this nearly happen again in the days of Noah? Uhuh! Also in the wilderness, God threatened to kill all the Israelites and save Moses only, but Moses successfully pleaded for their lives. Later on God made it a law that rebellious children who were violent against their parents must be put to death in order to prevent that trait being passed on in future families.

I’ll consider Adam and Eve’s life next time.
