Mymoss’ Time Line of Creation

This is a brief outline of history noting scriptures in their possible time order rather than where they appear in the Bible.

1. John 1:1-3

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”

a. Who was or is he? John 1:14 – “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, {and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,} full of grace and truth.”

(God was now to be called the Father, and the Word to be called the Son, and the Holy Spirit stayed the same.)

b. At this beginning point, is it not logical to conclude that God is telling us that he and the Word were alone and the Word had not yet begun to make any spiritual or physical creations ? Could this mean that time and space had not yet been created?

c. It is commonly believed that God and the Word possess eternal life and have always existed. This is where even believers’ minds go – “Tilt”! While God claims to have always existed, Jesus said his Father has always been working, in John 5:17 – “My Father works hitherto, and I work.” So we can be sure he has always been busy – either thinking or doing something. ]

2. Job 38:4 – “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? ….. :7 – While the morning stars sang together and ALL the angels shouted for joy?”

[a. Note that the angels were all there with God, and all were eye witnesses of the physical creation; so it is safe to conclude they had been created some time earlier - and none have been created since. All was happy and peaceful between the angels and God at that time. There is no mention of a time line, but I'm using human logic and reasoning to place Lucifer's rebellion some time between the creation of the universe and Satan's appearance in the Garden. Some have speculated that Lucifer rebelled some time after God created the dinosaurs and that lush primordial flora and fauna ecosystem, which may have included humanoids as prototypes of mankind.

3. Isaiah 14:12-15, – “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how you are cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations! For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. See also Ezekiel 28:14-17.

4. Genesis 1:1 – My take is that God fixed up the atmosphere and the sun and moon in order to support life on earth after the great destructive war when Satan was cast down to the earth – with his demons. God did not kill them because he had given them eternal life, but they are under his control.

5. Genesis 3:1-15 – There was Satan waiting to win Adam and Eve over to his way of thinking. Little wonder that most people (descendants of Adam) don’t believe God or believe in God to this day. Verse 15 – gives the first prophecy of the Messiah who was to be born of a woman and would restore mankind’s relationship with God, their Creator. “And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel. ” Jesus will become the God of this world when he returns in his full power and glory (Rev. 19). In the meantime Satan has fairly free rein to influence people to disobey God and create all kinds of negative outcomes – like wars, murder and mayhem.

6. Rev. 20 – gives a description of the fate of Satan and the 1000 year reign of Jesus and his resurrected saints. I believe they will come “marching in” just as the song says. My take on the great judgment is that God, being merciful, will preach the gospel to those who never heard it and give them opportunity to choose eternal life at that time. Because of the vast numbers involved God may delegate the task to his saints and angels. Can we picture many Bible schools around the world at that time? Who knows?

7. Rev. 21-22 – describe the New Heavens and the New Earth, where those possessing eternal life will spend time doing God’s will, hopefully exploring and occupying the universe.
