Until He Comes Again – lyrics.
If the Lord should decide to show through me -
A ray of sunshine to all that I meet -
Praise the Lord for the sunshine and the rain.
Give thanks ’til he comes again.
—–
Praise God for the Son that shines through the rain -
When storm clouds gather and stormy winds blow.
Jesus shelters his sheep and it’s true, you know.
Give thanks ’til he comes again.
- Chorus -
You are the King and the servant of all.
You rule in our heads and you move in our hearts.
We dream in the night – You give us our parts.
We give you thanks ’til you come again.
—–
If we would but deem to “Let go and let God”
Then we would be sunshine, as onward we plod.
Praise the Lord for our copious stores of grain.
Give thanks ’til he comes again.
—–
When Jesus returns – will he find faith on earth?
Will he find faith inside the people he loves?
Will he find faithful servants doing his will?
Will he find faith in you and me?
- Chorus -
You are the King and the servant of all.
You rule in our heads and you move in our hearts.
We dream in the night – You give us our parts.
We give you thanks – ’til you come again..

After reading it through a couple of times I feel a Celtic melodic line flowing through this poem. Your instincts are right on. This is song material. We definitely need to talk about this on Saturday.

Thanks for taking time from your work, John V. I added a verse as a bridge – hope you like it too. See you at ‘Small Group Church’.

[...] In the meantime? Christians need to carry on preaching the gospel in all the world to reach as many people as possible that God may be calling to repentance and faith - and also to give thanks and offer praise – Until He Comes Again. [...]
